About the event
Costello Safety Consulting, in partnership with J&J Crane, is hosting a comprehensive Forklift Operator Training course open to the public on April 10th, 2026, at our Houston office.
This training is designed to meet OSHA requirements under 29 CFR 1910.178 for powered industrial truck operators and is ideal for both new operators and experienced personnel who need initial training or refresher certification. The course includes a combination of formal classroom instruction and hands-on practical evaluation to ensure each participant demonstrates the knowledge and skills required to operate a forklift safely in the workplace.
Participants will be trained on key topics including safe operation, hazard recognition, load handling, equipment limitations, and employer expectations for forklift operators. Each attendee will be evaluated on their ability to safely operate equipment as part of the training.
