DOL's MSHA has duty regarding organization and requirement of the Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977, which ensures the security and soundness of laborers utilized in the nation's mines. The Act applies to all mining and mineral preparing activities in the United States, paying little respect to measure, number of workers, or strategy for extraction.
